What's new

What changed on ShuffleReady, newest first. Each release is announced on our Discord too.

Chatbots, companions and faster pages

  • Ask Claude or ChatGPT whether a deck is legal: add the ShuffleReady connector (how-to at /api).
  • Companion deckbuilding conditions are checked in Commander, Modern, Legacy, Vintage and Pioneer from April 2020, and Commander's history leaves out Portal and Starter cards until October 2005.
  • Pages load faster: ads and analytics wait until the page is up, and images no longer shift the layout.
  • What's new: this page, with each release announced on Discord.

Ban list history, embeds and a legality API

  • Ban list history for official formats, the rules on any past date, and a page for each card with its legality and ban history.
  • Embed a deck's legality badge or widget on Reddit, a blog or Moxfield (Share → Embed).
  • A public legality API, including checks as of a past date.
  • Pasted MTGO lists keep their sideboard, and Arena split card names import correctly.
  • Links show the deck, format or rule's name, and a broken link shows “not found” with a way back.

A more hands-on table

  • Table: a setup step before the game (seats, who goes first, turning panels), and a tap on a player's total opens a keypad.
  • Table: dice and coins share one panel, with a d4 and several coins at once.
  • Table: redo, and a steadier menu that doesn't take stray taps.

Manual deck saves and more table options

  • Decks now save when you choose to. Unsaved changes are kept on your device, and the site offers to recover them if you come back.
  • Table: pick who goes first, lock the screen against stray touches, feel a buzz on changes (on phones that support it), change the look and track counters.
  • A format or house rule that's only a draft is now private to its owner.
  • Images are no longer allowed in house rule descriptions.
  • Sign in is better protected against password guessing.

Commander at the table

  • Table: commander extras: partners, commander tax, the monarch, the initiative and day/night.
  • Table: roll dice and flip coins.
  • Table: player names are remembered for your next game.
  • Table: layouts for odd player counts, swap seats, and choose whether everyone faces the middle or you.
  • Playtest: spells go to the graveyard, a sideboard pile and a three-row battlefield.
  • Playtest on phones: the hand fits on two lines and lands stack in one row.
  • Resetting or changing your password signs out your other sessions.
  • Descriptions have a maximum length.

Table mode

  • Table mode: a full-screen life counter for the table.
  • Playtest: a stack zone for instants and sorceries, and cards the site doesn't know play as named placeholders.
  • Ctrl+S on a new deck creates it.
  • Formats: create a new version in one click, and a draft's link opens the draft for its owner (house rules too).
  • My Decks has a compact toolbar on phones.
  • Fixes for the house rule page, the colour identity picker and the search pane.

Folders, tags and version compare

  • My Decks: organize decks into folders.
  • Tag decks, and browse decks by tag.
  • Compare two versions of a deck or a format to see what changed.
  • More formats' ban list histories.
  • Playtest cards scale to the space available.
